Is The Legend of Bigfoot Real?

The Himalayas, the home of world's highest peaks is also a home of mysteries. Known as yeti in Asia and Bigfoot in most of the American countries, this mysterious thick-furred creature remains as a legend. This creature seems to have a closer resemblance to humans and also bears.

This mysterious man is commonly called as the abominable snow-man of the Himalayas. Scientists found similitude between mitochondrial DNA of this creature to a polar bear. Due to lack of solid evidence, this mysterious creature remains as a legend. It is impressed that ice-cold and remote region of Nepal-China border (where the altitude is around 15,000 feet) is the attic of this mysterious man. We are still bewildered about its existence, but local totems strongly assert its existence and even they describe its sightings. There are some records that this mysterious creature was once worshiped as the God of hunt. There are many elucidations of this man from per-historic times to present. But, there is no conclusive evidence to prove its existence.

19th CENTURY:-

Some historians say that the Yeti was a part of Buddhism. It was cited as the God of hunt, in accordance with them. It was believed by Bons(followers of Bon) that its blood is sacred and it was used for sanctification. Many visitors described its sightings, but the records were found poor.

AFTER 19th CENTURY:-

The existence of the Yeti was not believed by most of the world until N.A Tombazi, a photographer from Royal Geographical society recorded the footprints of this behemoth creature in 1925. He wrote in his dossiers that he saw a huge, ape-like man walking upright on its two legs and stood upright. He observed that creature from a distance of around 270 meters for about half a minute and its footprints were collected immediately then. It was found that they were very broad and flat. The size of the footprints was 7 to 8 inches long and 4 inches wide. This story inspired many enthusiasts and crypto zoologists (which deals about unknown creatures) to research on Yeti.

As the interest in Yeti had begun to grow up, many proofs were brought to notice. However, some of them were fabricated. In 1953, an expedition was conducted by Sir Edmund Hillary, first man to climb Mt. Everest, to know about the existence of Yeti. He found some footprints in the snow, but he could not give reliable evidence.

In 1970, Don Whillans, a British mountaineer professed that he had seen a creature making a swooshing sound when he was camping to climb the Himalayas. However, it is a hearsay that this story is made up. Josh Gates, a paranormal reporter, in 2007 found footprints of Yeti and later in 2009; its DNA was analyzed from the hair strands found in the Nepal border. It was found that this creature has resemblance to humans and bears. In 2011, crypto zoologists met in Russia and came to a cessation that there are 95% chances for existence of this abominable snowman.

DOES YETI EXIST?

The existence of Yeti may not be 100% correct but there are very high chances for its existence. With the increasing evidences, people started to believe in this mysterious creature. This is cashed by many magnates and even there are some TV shows and movies on Yeti! Unless the solid proofs are found, this mysterious man remains as a legend.
