How to Hypnotize someone easily (in minutes)

Despite common perception, hypnotism is neither a magic nor a paranormal phenomenon. It is one of the exquisite sciences fascinating the world. Some people think that in hypnosis, the subject will go into a magical sleep and loses control over thyself. Usually, in most of the cases, the subject will be in full control and can wake up at any time they wish to do so.

The word 'hypnosis' is derived from the word 'hypnos' who is Greek God of sleep. There are two types of hypnosis in practice.

1. Trance hypnotism - This type of hypnotism involves taking the subject into a deep trance and helping him/her to overcome their problem. In this hypnosis, the subject has full control over their trance state.

2. Covert hypnotism  - This hypnotism is done without the knowledge of the subject and moreover, subject will lose their control. This is not a recommended method and can yield adverse effects if not done properly.

In this article, we are going to see how to do trance hypnotism.

Hypnotism - how does this work?

To understand this, we must understand about trance states. Trance is a common phenomenon which we experience everyday. We are in a trance ( may be partial) when we watch television, when we are in a deep notion or take the case of sleeping where we dream. Even, while reading these lines, your brain concentrate on the words and forget about the surroundings to some extent. In short, trance is a natural brain wave activity. It varies with our state of mind. When it is relaxed, hypnotism can be done easily.

During a hypnotherapy, a hypnotist will relax the mind of the subject and then takes him/her to a deep trance. He will give suggestions to the unconscious mind of the subject repeatedly until those thoughts are fixed into their minds ( To suggest right solutions for the subject, it may need years of practice). After hypnosis, the subject feel a great sense of relief and happiness.

How to hypnotize someone?

Hypnosis is an excellent way to battle mental disorders, addiction and anxiety.  The first question which strikes our mind when talking about hypnosis is how to hypnotize someone? It is easy to take a person to a trance but it requires years of practice to give effective solution to the unconscious mind.

It is easy to hypnotize someone who is willing to be hypnotized than those who don't believe. Here are some simple steps for the beginners.

1. Let the subject sit in front of you face to face. Make sure that they are sitting comfortably and relaxed.

2. The key here is to relax the subject. So, it is highly important to focus on your tempo and try to speak in a slow, soothing voice. To make them comfortable, start with intros (the trick is for the subject to feel completely comfortable with your voice and the suggestions you are giving them to relax).

3. After building a small conversation, try to shift their attention to different parts of the body and have them deeply relax with each other. Starting from the legs to the head, proceed in an order. Repeat the steps for 2-3 times. Remember, you need to be relaxed to keep your subject relaxed. So, make sure that you are in comfy.

4. Now, ask the subject to place hands on your palm. Ask them to press on your palm instantly while you count from 1 to 3. After that, ask them to press them harder.

5. This is the most crucial step as it makes them feel relaxed and their mind gets off the fact that they are being hypnotized.

6. Slowly, direct them to an unconscious sleep by saying "You are so tired, now you feel your eyes getting drowsy and you are into a deep sleep". The exact words are not important but how you convey your idea is important.

7. Now, repeat the words "Concentrate on their breath- inhale and exhale while you go into a more deeper trance". Repeat these words 2-3 times. Keep in mind that you need to be confident and also you have to maintain your tempo. Usually, this stage can be achieved in 5 minutes.

8. Hypnotism is about giving suggestions to the unconscious mind of the subject. Let's say he has the problem with smoking addiction. Then, you have to bring his thoughts to a conclusion that smoking is injurious to his health. At the end, he himself has to say that.

9. After this step, wake him up in a conventional way by counting from 1-10. If you wake him up suddenly, he may end up with discomfort. So, proceed in a slower, proper way. As their unconscious mind came to a conclusion that smoking damages his health, the tendency to smoke lessens to a greater extent.

You may not achieve all this in a maiden attempt. All you need is practice this repeatedly. Start with your family or your friends. After mastering this technique, you can move on to more advanced methods.

What Your Hand Writing Says About You?

What our handwriting can say about our personality. What not? It can say everything about your traits, way of thinking and even health, Graphologists say. Graphology, the study of hand-writing is not newly born, indeed, it existed since the ages of Aristotle.

People are primarily classified into 5000 traits based on their handwriting, while this is just an approximation as every person's writing is as unique as them. Graphology is used in corporate recruitments, medical diagnosis and law. The primary insights of it are

  • Intelligence
  • Emotional balance
  • Inspiration
  • Mood
This article gives just a gist of the analysis. Ready for fun? Let's begin.

1. Size of the letters

Letter size denotes how much space you would deserve to take up in the society

Large: If your font size is large, you surely are people-oriented. These kind of people feel to be noticed and understood. They always want to go to limelight. Most of the celebs have this kinda writing style.

Small: These people are highly introvertive, sharp and keenly focused. Introspectiveness is another paramount feature.

Medium: They are quickly adaptive and can adjust well to the situations.

2. Pen Pressure

Pen pressure tells how you are engaged with your feelings and people

Heavy: Known for their commitment, these people are great feelers and are driven by strong emotions. However, if the pressure is too heavy, they often react quickly to criticism.

Light: If your pen pressure is light, you are empathetic and sensitive. You might not wear yourself with emotions. Light pressure sometimes may denote a bit carelessness.

3. Spacing

Spacing between the letters is the measure of how you like to live in society

Wider spacing: These people will be in love with freedom and are tended to live independent. Also, it may denote that you are all alone and you feel isolated.

Narrow Spacing: There are high chances that these people mingle with people easily as they always prefer to have people all-around them and also they hate to live alone.

4. Slanting

It is the emotional barometer measuring how can you deal with emotions

Right slant: If your handwriting slants to the right, then you are highly empathetic, sentimental and impulsive. You enjoy meeting new people and engaging yourself in conversations.

Left slant: These people are "me-oriented" , introspective and reserved. They have a very good control of their emotions and are reclusive. Usually, they are good thinkers and don't react impulsively.

No slant: Highly down-to-earth and are ruled by logic, not emotions. These people are highly consistent and reliable.

5. Dotted 'i'

It denotes the creative side of you

Circled dot over 'i': This shows that the person is a visionary, child-like and highly creative. Most of the artists have this way of writing.

Dot to the left or right: Such kind of persons usually are procrastinated.  Those who dot 'i' to the right side are 'hurry type' and those who dot to the left lack estimating ability. Some people place a dash in place of dot don't learn from their mistakes.

Dot exactly: If you fall under this category, you are highly attentive, emphatic and organized.

6. Crossing the 't'

It reveals the vision and determination of a person

T-cross at upper part: If your writing style is so, you are ambitious, determined and enthusiastic. However, if the cross length is large, it denotes that you are stubborn.

T-cross at the lower part: They usually aim low, lack self-confidence and feel insecure. It also depict that they are lazy.

T-cross at the middle: Confident and determined these people are. They feel comfortable in their own skin.

7.  Signature:

Signature is what you want the world to see in you

Illegible signature: Illegible signatures mean that you are trying to conceal the real you to the world. It depicts that you lack self-confidence.

Legible signature: These persons are confident, optimistic and are content with themselves. They are happy with what they are.

How reliable is this graphology? Indeed, it is, but there are many factors which have to be carefully analyzed. No person's hand-writing is always same, it tends to change according to the mood. So, while analyzing a handwriting, state of mind plays a major role. Now, why don't you start analyzing yourself. Start with a nice paragraph.

What is Arduino?

Arduino. Chances are that you’ve heard this name before or maybe if you have an interest in electronics you even own one. But if you have no idea what Arduino is or if it’s the first time you’ve stumbled across this name then read on! This article is especially for you!

Well, it all began in 2005 when a group of Italian researchers were trying to figure out a way to teach electronics to students within a short span of time. They decided that this device will have all the basics of a microcontroller. A processor, a memory, input and output pins and also a power supply but they wanted this to be faster than a microcontroller, easier to use and understand and also cost less.  This is how the Arduino family took birth with the first prototype being released in 2005. As of today, atleast 3,00,000 Arduino Boards have been sold worldwide by AdaFruit (the company that makes them)

This is how a basic Arduino board looks like

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH IT?

To be honest there are at least ten thousand different things which Arduino is capable of doing. From blinking LEDs to designing Automated Robots, with the right programming, an Arduino can do anything you want it to. The sky is your limit.  All thanks to the huge variety of sensors it has onboard a wide range of applications are made possible with the Arduino. From temperature controlled circuits to circuits that react to gestures, anything is possible.

For example, this 8x8x8 LED cube

Or this tree climbing robot

Or this Automated car-robot

What makes Arduino so popular?

As stated earlier Arduino has a processor, a memory and all the other things a basic low-level computer has. In addition to all this, it has a set of input/output pins and a USB port. The reason for Arduino’s popularity is due to the fact that unlike microcontrollers which work on assembly level and BASIC like languages they can be programmed with languages like C, C++ and JAVA. Unarguably, the three most well-known programming languages in the world today.
The IDE required for programming Arduino is based on the Processing and Wiring projects developed at MIT. These are open-source projects which means that anybody can contribute to them and they are free to download. And also, they are very easy to understand.  Programming in Arduino can give you a rough idea of how Embedded technology works and also introduce you to a little bit of Robotics.  But ultimately, it is the ease with which anyone can learn to use it which makes Arduino so popular.

How long will it take for me to learn how to use an Arduino?

The answer depends on how much of programming you know and how good your basics of electronics are. If you are good enough with C/C++ and basic elements of programming like loops, conditional statements (if, if-else etc) and a few basic syntax rules then programming an Arduino will be a breeze. However, one also needs to have good basics in electronic as often Arduino will have to be connected to other devices. Like motors, sensors, light-bulbs etc and this ‘how to connect’ part requires you to know a few basics of electrical circuits and properties of elements like transistors, driver-ICs etc. But don’t worry, with the right amount of interest you can start blinking LEDs from day-1. There are many tutorials on Youtube which teach you everything about the Arduino.
Btw, this is how an LED blinking program looks like
#define LED_PIN 13

void setup() {
pinMode(LED_PIN, OUTPUT);       // Enable pin 13 for digital output
}

void loop() {
digitalWrite(LED_PIN, HIGH);    // Turn on the LED
    delay(1000);                    // Wait one second (1000 milliseconds)
digitalWrite(LED_PIN, LOW);     // Turn off the LED
    delay(1000);                    // Wait one second
}

Hope this article gives you a fair idea of what an Arduino board is and what it does!

4 Mind Manipulation Techniques You Must Know

Manipulating people is always a great thing to play your cards right - to trick your boss, or to get a romantic jaunt with your girl friend or any other purpose. Manipulating people is not that easy; it requires much practice. However, when we add a bit of Psychology to that, it eases our job. Here are some of the easiest mind manipulating tricks which helps you get "yes" from anyone.

1. Imitation

Imitation is a powerful tool to manipulate minds. Whenever you want to impress a person or make person value your opinion, this trick would surely do the job. The basic principle lying behind this trick is that one cannot dislike a person who is like him/her.

Example

When you are having an important appointment, say your crush or any official meeting (both of you are of nearly equal age), try to imitate their gestures with after 5-10 seconds gap. Unknowingly, this would generate a positive response in their mind to believe you (as you're acting like them). Don't overdo this as they might feel being ridiculed if they are sensitive. Just mimic only during the important part of conversation.

2. The Foot in the door technique

This is one of the most common tricks employed by salespersons. However, this trick is a bit evil but it's very subtle and simple. To your target, initially, you come up with a request which is unusually easy to them that they can't resist it. Then, you come up with your true one. Research has proven that this would improve your results to a larger extent.

Example:

3. A trick with greetings

This is a great psychological manipulator that can get your job done easily. When you are talking to the person whom you wish to manipulate, greet them with the title what they want.

Example

When you want to impress your boss, greet him with the title "boss" frequently. It would give him/her a great sense of ego satisfaction. Similarly, when you interact to a friend, it is better to greet "hey buddy" or "hello friend" rather than saying a simple hello.

4. Color psychology

Colors have a major impact on how humans respond. So, using them effectively can give us a hand to manage people. Here is the list of colors and the corresponding human behaviors.

Red:  This is a color which grabs attention easily. It is a symbol of power. It is proven that people wearing red dress are likely to get more dates than others. However, beware that a red dress during an interview or a formal meeting is a very bad choice.

Green:  It is a friendly, warm and calm color. It induces a feeling of friendliness and openness thereby giving a pleasant feeling.

Blue:  This is a kinda cool color. Using light shades of blue energizes the people. Dark shades are used to represent trustworthiness.

Pink:  Pink is a very good attention grabber, especially of young women. It can be used to depict fashion or trends.

Orange:  It is the most powerful color to grab attention. It induces a sense of energy to the people around you.

Black:  Perhaps, this is the color which can be used at any context. It is a symbol of trend and at the same time has traditional values in it. It has the ability to energize people's minds.

Gold:  It is a symbol of power and prestige.

Brown: It is a peaceful color which should be used to say anything in an earthly tone.

Yellow: A powerful attention grabber and indeed, a dangerous one too. If the message you are conveying has a defect, never ever use yellow.

Some helpful tricks:

  • If you want to know if a person is interested in your talk, check his/her foot angle. If their foot faces you, then they are.
  • When you want a person to follow you, just ask them follow and don't turn back. The chances that they would follow you are very high.
  • While having a conversation, try to ask questions which they can answer easily and also they should be of their interest. ( So, act dumb even though you know the answers)
  • If you want to be the center of attention in a meeting, try to sit at the center of the table.
  • If you want to establish a relation with a person in a group, whenever someone cracks a joke, look at that person first. Keep in mind that this may not be applicable when personal jokes have place.
