The founder of this band was Hasan-i-Sabbah, who ousted their local king of Daylam in 1090 A.D.

Surprise was their primary tactic. Most of the anti-Nizaris have fallen prey for it. A Nizari would act as a servant to their opponent, even for some years and catching the opportunity, would kill the person. It is said that the word "Assassin" has originated from the same.

7. Thule society:

They were also known as "The Poor Fellow soldiers of Christ." The full name of this organization is The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St. John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta).
